Elisabeth ~ Ai to Shi no Rondo
Elisabeth "Takarazuka Version "

Japan's all female Takarazuka Revue theatre troupes have each performed "Elisabeth", and Flower Troupe's performance is my favorite so my dress is based on the one that Rei Otori wore on stage. The costume consists of a hoop skirt, bodice that laces up the back, gigantic skirt, and an insane amount of tulle. The wig was a pain in the ass. The hair was braided around some thick tubing we bought at a local fabric store, and it took two very frustrating tries to get it right. Once the braid was finished it was attached to a plain brown wig and the crystal jewels were pinned in. The wig is placed a couple inches behind my natural hairline to give the same look the actress has on stage. The wig is really heavy and I have limited neck movement when I wear it, but it looks good!
